Mumbai Indians on Thursday, 4 January, chose to retain three players – Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah – for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Mumbai Indians co-owner Akash Ambani was present at the player retention announcement event in Mumbai.

The franchises were eligible to secure up to 5 players by virtue of a combination of Player Retention (Pre-Player Auction) and Right to Match (RTM). According to the latest guidelines for IPL 2018, Rohit will have a salary cap of Rs 15 crore, Hardik Rs 11 crore and Bumrah Rs 7 crore.
